It takes about 30 minutes to tour around the east side of Lake Shikotsu.
You can enjoy a 360° view from the lake, and you can experience special views such as the mountains that appear on the surface of the lake.
From the underwater windows on board, you can peer into the highly transparent waters of Lake Shikotsu, and see the mysterious world of famous chips swimming nearby and columnar joints on the bottom of the lake.

Lake Shikotsu is a caldera lake that belongs to Shikotsu-Toya National Park, and is a naturally rich lake that boasts some of the clarity and water quality in Japan.
The maximum depth is approximately 360m, and it is known as the northernmost ice-free lake that does not freeze even in winter.
Surrounded by beautiful mountains, you can see a variety of profound scenery throughout the four seasons.
In addition to several hot spring inns on the lakeshore, there is also a ``Lake Shikotsu Visitor Center'' that will guide you around the area and a restaurant that serves Lake Shikotsu's specialty ``Chips (Himemasu)'' for the enjoyment of visitors.
